The conference will take place as a hybrid event at Hotel Le Plaza in Brussels, as well as online.
The conference’s fifth edition will be held on 11 – 13 October 2022 and is organised by EASE – The European Association for Storage of Energy, in collaboration with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre.
ESGC 2022 will explore the extent to which energy storage can help avoid dependency on fossil fuels and will cover three main topics that represent the whole value chain of energy storage, offering great opportunities to industry, researchers, and policymakers to exchange views and debate key issues faced by the energy storage sector.
The three main topics are policy, market and technology. On the first day, the topic is policy, including the most pressing challenges to the development of energy storage and energy storage market design. The second day covers the market topic and the third day energy storage technologies and their development will be in focus of the conference.
